Our Pesto Rosso is produced in Liguria according to the traditional Italian recipe with quality and natural ingredients. It is prepared with fresh Genoese AOP basil which gives it a strong flavour. The basil is then blended with olive oil, dried tomatoes, Pecorino cheese (ewe's milk cheese), Grana Padano (similar to Parmigiano), cashews and pine nuts. There are no added preservatives or additives. Its taste is close to fresh pestos because it is not pasteurized.
Gourmet pairings: Use for seasoning pasta, as a base for a bruschetta or pizzas, on toast as an aperitif, in a condiment sauce for savoury cakes.
