About the product
Located in the village of Mane in Provence, opposite the Prieuré of Salagon dedicated to the heritage of Haute-Provence, the Caramelerie first welcomes the visitor in a garden converted into a butterfly refuge, in collaboration with the LPO (Bird Protection League).
The production workshop, visible behind a large bay window and accessible by a footbridge, offers visitors a dive into the history of manufactures of the 1950s. The craftsman passes his cooking from the copper cauldron into a succession old machines that will first roll its preparation, then pass it over a sugar spinner to shape it into a soft continuous square caramel, then cut into small cubes and wrapped one by one in a golden foil.
