Our liquid soaps are made according to the traditional method, known as " From Marseille ". They are obtained by a saponification reaction of vegetal oils (including olive oil) with potash.
The oils are mixed in a stainless-steel cauldron, the potash diluted in water is then gradually added to the oils to start the saponification process.
After saponification, the soap will be left to simmer for a minimum of 6 hours to ensure that the reaction is complete. At the end of simmering, the paste is transformed into liquid soap by adding water.
This traditional manufacturing technique is part of a sustainable development approach: low water consumption, moderate heating during the " soap cooking " and no rejection into the environment.
It washes and nourishes the skin without damaging it or drying it out. Naturally glycerinated, it cleanses gently, and is very respectful of sensitive skin because it is much less aggressive and drying than synthetic surfactants.
