Organic olive oil from Haute-Provence
LIMITED EDITION to 800 liters.
We have received a legacy; a heritage from the olive groves of Maison Brémond. The producers of Haute-Provence also pass on this heritage by offering us their exceptional olives. Maison Brémond has signed farming contracts with several local producers which allow them to benefit from our assistance for the maintenance of their groves all year round, the organisation of hand-harvesting and of course the pressing of their olives on harvest day. These olives are pressed in the Moulin à Huile du Luberon olive mill in Volx. The first farming contracts signed on the 2018 harvest enabled us to select organic Aglandau olives from the Domaine de Piebon on the hills above the Luberon range between the towns of Forcalquier and Manosque. Harvest carried out in November 2018.
Food pairings: On a ricotta or a yoghurt. With a Greek feta salad. For dessert with a fruit pie or cake. On a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. For Mediterranean breakfasts, on toast in the morning with honey.
Aromatic palette: This is a delicate, ripe fruity oil. Leaves a tingling sensation on the tongue. A light fruity aroma of red fruit (strawberry jam), ripe bananas, dried fruits such as almonds, dried herbs. A delicate oil with a smooth attack. A progressive bitterness which leaves room for the astringency of green walnuts. The oil has a special tingling sensation on the tongue. A lastingly pungent finish.
