Located in Haute-Provence, the Oliveraie of Maison Brémond is composed of nearly 1500 trees on over 4 hectares. It benefits from an ideal exposure forming a valley crossed by the bed of a small river. Planted almost 15 years ago for some, the olive trees are, for the most part of the Aglandau variety, with some Picholines to helppollination.
The harvest took place last November, The olives were pressed only a few hours later at the Moulin du Luberon in Volx in Haute Provence to obtain about 1000 Litres of an Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
This rgreen fruity oil with is the pride and joy of the whole team at maison Brémond.
We call it HERITAGE olive oil because it is packaged in a declinaison of the 0.50 Cl Vintage metal can, the origin of our House in 1830.
Food pairings: with stewed or roast veal. Roast or grilled lamb. All chicken recipes. Blue fish ( simple preparation), on seafood. White beans, lentils, pan-fried or steamed green beans. Pumpkin, mushrooms, endives, white or green asparagus, turnips, cold soup ( gaspacho). In a ratatouille, on roasted bell peppers. ideal with baked, grilled, stuffed and creamed potatoes. For risotto or rice. In salad.
Aromatic palette: a highly balanced green fruity oil with sweet aromas of banana and red fruit with herbaceous secondary notes. A smooth, buttery feel in the mouth followed by a bitterness reminiscent of fresh walnuts and bitter almonds. A lovely pungent aftertaste.
