The Maison Brémond 1830 olive grove is located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. At the end of the winter, as soon as the risk of frost is past, we prune our olive trees extremely carefully, making room for the branches that will bear the new harvest – the locals call this: «leaving room for a bird to fly around freely». In the spring, we remove weeds, feed the soil and treat the tree trunks naturally against disease. When our olive trees bloom in May, we cross our fingers that the Mistral wind will pollinate the flowers. All summer long, we make sure that our trees are strong to ensure the quality of the young olives which are the promise of a quality harvest.
When autumn comes, the olives ripen slowly under the Provencal sun. And at last, the happy conclusion! Our nets are laid out under the olive trees and the harvest can begin! We have to work fast. So that the olives keep all the qualities of their taste intact, we have to harvest the olives and take them to be pressed at the Luberon olive oil mill- all on the same day. This year 2 olive oils will bear the prestigious Heritage name of Maison Brémond 1830, the fruit of our work and the perfect handing-down of savoir-faire from one generation to the next. One is a ripe fruity, the other is a green fruity.
